Lost and Getting Nowhere? Your Guide to Understanding Your Desires and Finding Peace
Do you feel lost? Do you feel like you are running in circles without ever reaching a destination?
Money, power, status, and primal instincts... Let’s be completely honest. If you truly and genuinely realize that these desires—and the obsession with them—will not get you anywhere, then it becomes incredibly easy to live peacefully, to meditate, and to enjoy the present moment spontaneously, free from overthinking, fear, and anxiety.
Why? Because you have finally grasped the core truth: you realize that these pursuits drain your energy, consume your life, and agitate you for no good reason. Once you reach this level of awareness, it is time to relax, surrender to your Creator, and live your life simply and organically.
The Trap of Fake Spirituality and Self-Deception
However, if you are not truly convinced of this deep down—if you are just echoing words you heard from others—and you try to escape these desires by any means necessary (like doing yoga, meditating, or forcing a facade of extreme piety), you are only fooling yourself.
By doing this, you will remain restless and agitated on the inside, even if you perform pilgrimages and play the part of a saint. Naturally, you won't understand what I mean when I talk about "meditation," "acceptance," or "surrender" away from your ego. Instead, you will just look at me and ask, "What do you mean?"
The Solution is Simple: Be Honest with Yourself
If you genuinely want inner peace, the solution is simpler than you think: You must be completely honest with yourself.
Do not avoid things just because society has made you afraid of them. If you do, you will only suppress your urges, deceive yourself, and wear a fake cloak of purity, which will only make you more lost and disoriented.
What is the alternative?
It is much better to pursue these desires head-on so you can witness their downsides for yourself, or at least see where they lead. Otherwise, they will remain an unfulfilled longing in your heart, forcing you to live a life of "half-measures"—you will be neither here nor there.
Living in this state of hesitation means you lose out on both fronts:
- You are unable to truly relax, meditate, accept, and surrender.
- You are also unable to experience and understand these things firsthand because you are paralyzed by the fear of society's judgment.
Don't Stay Stuck in the Middle
Do not waste your life like this... stuck in the middle, heading nowhere, and learning absolutely nothing new.
- If you genuinely understand that these desires lead to a dead end: It will be easy for you to understand me when I talk about self-acceptance and tranquility.
- But if you lack the true conviction that these things waste your time and energy: Do yourself a favor—stop lying to yourself, stop suppressing your feelings, and just go after them to experience them yourself.
And of course, I am talking about pursuing these things in a legitimate and moral way, my friend. I am not telling you to steal money or commit unethical acts.
The Bottom Line:
Ultimately, you must understand the true essence of your desires, your instincts, and your obsessions. If you don't, they will just inflate in your mind for nothing, diminish the quality of your life, and keep you running in place without ever moving forward.
