This Photo is No Mere Coincidence!
The recently viral photo from 2007 showing Messi bathing baby Lamine Yamal—who are set to face each other in tomorrow's World Cup final—is it really just a coincidence? A strange spiritual phenomenon? A blessing from Messi? Or some sort of football "baptism"?
Far from cosmic conspiracy theories, manipulation probabilities, and even pure luck, there is a significant, logical side explaining this phenomenon that has absolutely nothing to do with coincidence.
1. The Fertile Environment and Parental Support
The first and most important reason, in my opinion, is the parents' relentless effort to provide the right nurturing environment for their son. Living in Catalonia, very close to the atmosphere of FC Barcelona, they made sure to immerse him in this climate right from the start. They entered him into a charity raffle sponsored by UNICEF to take a photo with a team player, and it just so happened that Messi was the one in that picture. Later on, when the child grew a bit and his passion began to show, his mother used her job at a local restaurant and her network to get him training at a small local club for free.
This role that parents play is the cornerstone. It is exactly like a father striving to provide the right tools for a six or seven-year-old child to expand his mind and explore his talents... whether that passion is sports, or providing science kits, drawing tools, and complex building and mechanics sets that construct his intellect. The environment we place our children in and how we feed their curiosity is what ultimately draws the map of their future.
2. The Moral Drive and Subconscious Programming
Imagine being a kid growing up in Barcelona, starting to establish yourself as a player, and in your local club is Messi at the absolute peak of his glory—the talk of the town and the world. And you have a picture with him holding you when you were a baby!
This creates a massive, direct bond between the two of you and gives you an enormous moral boost and a unique sense of exclusivity. From a young age, you begin feeding your subconscious with the idea that "destiny chose me to take Messi's place one day and be his successor in my city's club." This self-belief generates an unstoppable energy.
3. The Domino Effect and the Value of Hard Work
We usually look at things at their conclusion and see them as bizarre coincidences, but the sequence of events is actually perfectly logical. Of course, we don't overlook the young man's raw talent and his hard work, but if any single element of this chain were missing, the photo would mean absolutely nothing.
Imagine if Messi himself hadn't worked hard and strived to continue his legendary success after 2007, fading away due to an injury or any other circumstance... Would that photo have meant anything to Yamal? He probably would have just seen it as a very ordinary picture, and perhaps it wouldn't have inspired him to play football in the first place!
Conclusion: We Create the Value of Events
In the end, we are the ones who create the pictures, and we give events their value, not the other way around.
There is nothing arbitrary in life; everything is connected like dominoes. Every choice we make alters the course of our lives and the lives of our children. Where we are right now, what we love, and how much we are working on ourselves and developing our skills... all these factors accumulate to ultimately create real value for the thing we see and celebrate today (otherwise, it would have been just a picture of someone bathing a baby, nothing more).
For this reason, it is incredibly important that we choose consciously and keep our minds present and clear, so we can catch those opportunities and create the events that don't just impact us... but might go on to inspire and change the course of entire generations.
